PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk. (BFI) was established in 1982 as a joint venture with Manufacturer Hanover Leasing Corporation (MHLC), the United States, with shares of 70%, and the rest is owned by the people of Indonesia. In 1986, MHLC Ongko sell their shares to the group.
After carrying out financial restructuring between 1998 and 2000 as a result of the economic crisis in Asia, including Indonesia.
